AMM 2019 IS A CORE OF LEADING SPECIALISTS FOR MINING AND PROCESSING INDUSTRIES IN CENTRAL ASIA
There are two weeks left to the start of Astana Mining&Metallurgy (AMM) Congress. Pretty soon the capital of Kazakhstan will become a business center for the leading specialists of the mining and processing industries in Central Asia. The 10th Anniversary AMM 2019 Congress will take place on June 12-13, in Hilton Astana. It is expected that 500 delegates from 12 world countries, 58 top speakers, and 24 companies - leaders in the mining and metallurgical industries will take part in the Congress.
The comprehensive attention to the metallurgy and related industries can be explained by the fact, that AMM Congress allows establishing not only new business contacts and sharing experience, but also discussion acute issues on industry development, and sharing prospective innovation ideas. The forum target audience is managers and specialists of domestic and international businesses, interested in the procurement of high-quality metal products, modern equipment, technologies innovative solutions.
During two days, participants will enjoy an intense business program. For the first time, there will be the Mining Challenge 2019 hackathon, within the frame of AMM 2019 Congress, where start-up entrepreneurs, programmers, and startuppers, during 24 hours, will find solutions, under a challenge, and create prototypes for mining and metallurgical companies using different tools and information technologies. Such solutions will allow companies to optimize the management of production processes, industrial safety, human resources, and financial flows.
The organizers of the AMM 2019 Congress together with the Congress Innovation Partner - Tech Garden - set as the primary goal of Hackathon - the involvement of corporations into practical digitalization using point IT-solutions and expansion of competence of Kazakhstani IT-services suppliers.
The winners will get money prize and the opportunity to participate in a program of acceleration of their projects in the workplace or at the enterprise.
Within the vibrant AMM 2019 Congress Business Program, there will be over 20 sessions, including panel discussions, seminars, forums, round tables, master-classes in all MMC segments. The main feature of the AMM Congress is a Digitalization and investment horizons.
The Business program will be opened with a plenary meeting on Strategies of Global Mining Industry Development will start its work. During this meeting, world and Kazakhstan MMC leaders will tell about development strategies in their companies in terms of industry digitalization. Also, during the AMM 2019 Congress, there will be an award ceremony of the Golden Hephaestus competition - the most prestigious award of the Republican significance for MMC specialists. The first Golden Hephaestus statuette was presented to Nursultan Nazarbayev, the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, whereby setting a high level of professional and innovative requirements for the projects of the future competition participants. The Golden Hephaestus competition is actively supported by the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The General Partner of the competition is the Eurasian Group (ERG).
182 applications were submitted for participation in the Golden Hephaestus Competition, including 77 applications in nominations Geologist of the Year, Miner of the Year, and Scientist-Teacher of the Year; 22 applications from 16 companies in nominations Project of the Year, Leader in Kazakhstan content, Innovative leader of the Year, The best digital solution in MMC, and The best foreign partner. Besides, 74 printed materials in printed and online media, videos were considered. Nine students will compete in nomination Diploma work of the Year.
Announcement of the Golden Hephaestus Competition results and awarding ceremony will take place on June 12th, within the frame of AMM Congress, in The Ritz-Carlton Astana hotel. The winners will get money prizes, and students will have a chance to pass an internship in large companies, works of journalists will be published in international publications.
