HEALTHCARE DAYS IN NUR-SULTAN IS THE LARGEST COMPREHENSIVE PROJECT IN KAZAKHSTAN IN THE FIELD OF HEALTHCARE, MEDICINE AND PHARMACEUTICALS
A number of exhibition and conference events aimed at promoting national projects in the development of domestic healthcare, pharmaceutical industry and providing citizens with quality medical care and safe, effective and affordable medicines will be held in Nur-Sultan from October 26 to 28, 2022 on the territory of EXPO IEC.
The exposition platform will combine two international exhibitions: Healthcare - Astana Zdorovie and Equipment, raw materials and technologies for the pharmaceutical industry - PharmaTECH Kazakhstan.
For 18 years Astana Zdorovie has been the most effective exhibition platform in the capital for domestic and international manufacturers and suppliers of medical equipment and supplies, consumables, commodities and medical services. Such companies as Aesthetics Group, BTL Kazakhstan, Oasis Group Distribution, LAB Industry, ORDAMED, QMP Qazmedpribor, Registrarius, Kaz Med Prom, Medical Service Kazakhstan, MEDRUG, Medina-Filter NPC, Medfarmservice IVF, LONGEST Shockwave Therapy, and others have already confirmed their participation. A year earlier the exhibition has successfully gathered 85 companies from Belarus, Germany, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, China and Russia, the opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Ye. Tugzhanov, Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, A. Giniyat, Chairman of the Management Board of SK-Pharmacy LLP, Ye. Iskaliyev.
In recent years, there has been a global trend of increasing the share of public resources that are used for the development of domestic healthcare. The infrastructure, the quality of the industry's personnel, and drug and pharmaceutical provision are all changing. So, according to the results of the first quarter of this year, capital investments in healthcare and social services of Kazakhstan increased by 37.3% for the year, up to 33.6 billion KZT. The QIN (quantity index number) was 132.3%. Investments from the local budget (in 2 times, up to 9.6 billion KZT) and bank loans (by 43.4%, up to 1.8 billion KZT) increased significantly. In this regard, participation in the exhibition Astana Zdorovie 2022 serves as a promising basis for business development in Kazakhstan.
PharmaTECH Kazakhstan is a unique exhibition platform created for the first time, which will contribute to establishing cooperation with global pharmaceutical corporations, attracting investment in the development of pharmaceutical production in Kazakhstan, increasing the export potential of domestic pharmaceutical products, building scientific and human resource capacity, and expanding the volume and range of off-take contracts with domestic manufacturers. Sections of the exhibition cover the entire process of pharmaceutical production starting from project development and supply of equipment to providing raw materials, packaging and transportation of finished products.
Today, the domestic pharmaceutical industry, thanks to effective measures of state support, has a huge potential for profitable investment. As noted by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart K. Tokayev in his Message to the People of Kazakhstan, Unity of the people and systemic reforms - a solid foundation for the country's prosperity, today the issue of increasing the share of domestic medicines and medical devices to 50% by 2025 becomes particularly important in ensuring the country's national security.
During the three days, exhibitors will have as many business contacts and negotiations with potential partners from among the highly specialized visitors as possible. Traditionally, within the exhibitions there will be an extensive business program, which will be a useful hub for the presentation of innovations and opportunities in the medical and pharmaceutical industries, as well as exchange of experience between domestic and foreign specialists. In addition to trainings and seminars, the II International Pharmaceutical Forum Global Pharm will be held on October 26 and the II International Forum on Medical Technology MedTech will take place on October 27. The forums are planned to include speeches by representatives of industry ministries and associations, top managers of large global companies and domestic manufacturers. The audience of the forums will consist of world experts-practitioners on pharmaceutical issues, scientists and practicing doctors, Kazakhstani and foreign businessmen.
In addition to exhibitions and the business program, during the Nur-Sultan Healthcare Days, it is planned to hold a round table with the participation of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan and CEOs of major companies online, also b2b and b2c meetings will be held, and memorandums of cooperation will be signed.
Astana Zdorovie and PharmaTECH Kazakhstan exhibitions are held with the support of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan City Akimat, Nur-Sultan City Public Healthcare Department, SK-Pharmacy LLP, Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, Association for Support and Development of Pharmaceutical Activities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
