ADVANCED HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS FROM 19 COUNTRIES PRESENTED AT KIHE 2024
ON MAY 15, THE OPENING OF THE 29TH KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL HEALTHCARE EXHIBITION – KIHE 2024 TOOK PLACE AT THE ATAKENT EXHIBITION CENTER. THE KIHE EXPOSITION SHOWED STEADY GROWTH AND THIS YEAR OCCUPIED THREE EXHIBITION PAVILIONS AT ONCE. ON THE FIRST DAY, THE EXHIBITION WAS VISITED BY 2,371 SPECIALISTS.
For 29 years, the KIHE exhibition has provided access to advanced medical solutions and equipment, becoming a significant event in the field of healthcare in Kazakhstan. Here specialists get acquainted with the latest technologies and choose innovative solutions for their work. KIHE promotes the introduction of the presented technologies into clinical practice, improving the quality of diagnostics and treatment of the population of our country. The exhibition brings together leading experts and industry leaders, promoting the development of medicine in the country and around the world.
As noted by M.I. Durmanova, the President of Association for Support and Development of Pharmaceutical Activities of the Republic of Kazakhstan ALE: “The exhibition is not only a place where the latest achievements in the field of diagnostics and treatment of diseases are presented, but also a site for meetings of professionals, as well as establishing business contacts with further development in the form of supplies of equipment and the introduction of advanced methods in medicine. Therefore, the influence of the exhibition on the development of the industry is undoubtedly very large”.
Exhibitors in 2024 included 327 companies from 19 countries: Bangladesh, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, Egypt, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France, the Czech Republic, and South Korea. More than 185 companies took part as debuting exhibitors. Companies from Germany, the Czech Republic, Moscow Export Center Autonomous Non-Profit Organization, Altai Fund for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, Kuzbass (Kemerovo region), Belpharmprom from Belarus were represented with collective stands and national groups.
41% of the stands were organized by Kazakhstani companies, which included both domestic manufacturers and distributors. The interest in the Kazakhstani market is evidenced by the impressive composition of international participants; 59% of the total number of exhibitors in 2024 are international companies.
Taking into account the critical flood situation in some regions of Kazakhstan, the organizers decided to abandon the usual ceremony, including cutting the ribbon, which symbolizes the opening of the exhibition. This step was taken as a sign of solidarity with the entire country. Industry experts and honored guests made an introductory tour of the exhibition, and A.B. Nusupova, Deputy Akim of the city of Almaty, N.K. Otarbayev, Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, V.N. Lokshin, President of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in the Republic of Kazakhstan ALE, B.A. Danilenko, Director of the Iteca Exhibition Company, as well as heads of medical institutions of the republic and leading industry specialists took part in it.
This year the main focus was on the business program, which was organized in three seminar areas. The main event of this year was the I International Medical Forum “Medinnovations Forum”, organized for the first time in collaboration with the Kazakh Society of Neuromodulation, the Association of Cardiologists of Kazakhstan, the Kazakh Association of Neurosurgeons, National Center for Neurosurgery JSC, Shashkin Clinic, Kazakh Society of Anesthesiologists and Resuscitators NGO, Nazarbayev University School of Medicine. “Medinnovations Forum” began its work with the Nazarbayev University School of Medicine Session on the introduction of innovations in healthcare. Also, as part of the business program, a round table “Pharmaceutical market of Kazakhstan 2024: Problems and prospects. MedTech 2024” was held, where the prospects for the development of pharmaceutical activities in our country were discussed. In the seminar area, expert practitioners from ENGENIUM GROUP, LIMI Consulting Service, LAB TECHNOLOGY, ORDAMED, I-teka carried out a number of training seminars.
Tomorrow, May 16, the “Medinnovations Forum” and the seminar area will continue their work, where experts will share the best solutions in the field of healthcare. On the final day of the exhibition, May 17, the Republican conference “Antibiotic resistance. Challenges in Healthcare” and the Forum of Laboratory Medicine Specialists: “Research at the Point of Care/Time - Current Status, Future and Trends", organized by the Federation of Laboratory Medicine.
Another innovation this year was the launch of the ITECA.EVENTS mobile application, the main task of which is to create ideal interaction between visitors and participants. Using the application, you can make appointments with potential clients, view the list of participants and products/services presented at the exhibition, have access to the most up-to-date information (navigation plan, business program), collect a contact database based on the results of meetings, view individual personalized recommendations, created by artificial intelligence based on completed data. In short, with ITECA.EVENTS – the entire exhibition is in digital format.
