SIGNIFICANT RESULTS AND NEW STEPS TOWARDS THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITIONS AND BUSINESS COOPERATION
EXHIBITION ACTIVITIES PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN THE ECONOMY OF KAZAKHSTAN, CREATING CONDITIONS FOR ATTRACTING INVESTMENT, DEVELOPING SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED BUSINESSES, AND INCREASING INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION.
2024 has become a landmark year for exhibition activities in Kazakhstan, confirming the country’s status as a leading platform for business meetings, industry development and international cooperation among the CIS countries.
Iteca successfully organized 22 exhibitions, in which 3,566 companies from 62 countries took part. Last year showed high involvement of international companies in Kazakhstan exhibitions. The expo events featured 47 national stands and 122 collective expositions. The geography of visitors has significantly expanded, which shows the growing interest of foreign investors and businesses in the Central Asian market. The events attracted more than 62,000 visitors representing 95 countries. The business program included 260 specialized sessions aimed at professional exchange of experience and development of industry cooperation. The total exhibition area was more than 89,000 square meters.
The positive dynamics of 2024 create the basis for further growth of the exhibition industry. This year, Iteca will continue to work on expanding the business program, attracting new participants and strengthening international ties. Large-scale exhibitions are planned that will cover key sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan, providing new opportunities for business and innovation.
An important event in 2025 will be the launch of two new international exhibitions that will open up promising areas for the development of industry and business. From April 15 to 17, the first Kazakhstan International Exhibition “Goods and Equipment for the Textile Industry” - KITME will be held, which is designed to stimulate the development of light industry in Kazakhstan, attracting suppliers of advanced equipment, the latest technologies, innovative materials and accessories. In the fall, Kazakhstan will strengthen its position in the plastics and chemical industry, thanks to the first Kazakhstan International Exhibition of Plastics and Chemical Industry - Plastex Qazaqstan, which will be held from November 12 to 14.
Expanding opportunities for professional dialogue and industry cooperation, the 2nd Kazakhstan International Exhibition - PharmaTECH Kazakhstan 2025, dedicated to equipment, raw materials and technologies for the pharmaceutical industry, will be held within the framework of the KIHE exhibition. The joint holding of these events will create a single platform uniting the medical and pharmaceutical industries, which will allow participants to get acquainted with advanced developments, establish technological exchange, promote the localization of pharmaceutical production and strengthen partnership relations between representatives of healthcare, the pharmaceutical industry and the scientific community.
Another significant innovation will be the launch of a new section of the Securex Kazakhstan exhibition – Dronex Kazakhstan 2025, which will be dedicated to industrial drones and anti-drone systems. This area is rapidly developing and is becoming increasingly popular in the field of security, logistics, industrial monitoring and other industries. Dronex Kazakhstan 2025 will provide participants with the opportunity to present advanced developments in the field of unmanned technologies and discuss key market trends.
2025 will be an anniversary year for a number of Iteca’s leading exhibitions. KIHE, AstanaBuild, InterFood Astana and Astana Mining & Metals exhibitions celebrate their anniversaries, demonstrating their long-term successful history and contribution to the formation of professional communities. In honor of the anniversaries, the organizers are preparing expanded expositions, special forums and thematic events that will allow participants not only to celebrate an important milestone in the development of exhibitions, but also to discuss key industry challenges, present innovative solutions and strengthen business ties. The anniversary exhibitions will attract even more international participants, experts and professionals, which will strengthen their status as the leading business platforms of the region.
Also, in the new year the company continues its active participation in the life of international business associations. According to annual tradition, Iteca extended its membership in Eurobak — the European Business Association of Kazakhstan, which supports the interests of European companies and promotes the development of business relations in the country, as well as in the British Chamber of Commerce, which stimulates cooperation between British and Kazakhstani companies, strengthening economic ties and providing opportunities for professional growth and partnership. In addition to developing exhibition activities, the company provides ongoing support to animal shelters, orphanages and other social initiatives. On the eve of the New Year, the Iteca office traditionally held the “Secret Santa” campaign, within the framework of which employees prepared gifts for children from low-income families. In 2025, the company intends to continue and expand its social activities, contributing to the development of society and supporting people in need.
In order to further expand the possibilities for holding large-scale events, two new pavilions with an area of 3800 square meters will open in Atakent KCBC in the near future. This expansion of the infrastructure will ensure the growth of the scale of our exhibitions, an increase in the number of participants and visitors, and will also contribute to reaching a wider audience and strengthening Kazakhstan’s position as an important center for international business and exhibition events.
