MEETING OF EXPERTS IN THE FIELD OF OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH AT KIOSH 2024
FROM MAY 29 TO 31, THE 12TH KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION - KIOSH 2024 WILL BE HELD ON THE TERRITORY OF THE EXPO INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION CENTER (ASTANA).
The KIOSH event will traditionally be represented as an exhibition where more than 75 exhibiting companies from Belgium, Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will demonstrate the best solutions in the field of health and safety. Among the debutants of the exhibition this year will be the following companies: Di ART, KazZhumysKiym, FESKGROUP, Aikod, Suraya Uniform Services, Industrial Safety and Ecology, Inter Knowledge Solutions Institute, RIST, sPoint, ARITEKS and many others.
As part of the business program of the exhibition, practical and educational seminars will be held from expert practitioners: Inter Knowledge Solutions Institute, Horizon Inc, Safe Driving Association, Nurikon Professional Training Center, Pozharnaya Bezopasnost 2.0 LLC, FeskGroup, Zelinsky Group, Republican Research Institute for Labor Protection of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Also, during the exhibition days, the demonstration area will host a number of master classes on working at heights and demonstrations of new lines of equipment and personal protective equipment.
At the end of the first day of the exhibition, for all participants and visitors of the event there will be a film show of short films on the topic of Occupational Safety and Health with the participation of Russian cinema stars - Yelena Zakharova and Sergey Selin at the Arsenal Cinema at 19:00.
The two-day KIOSH Conference, which will take place on May 30 and 31, will address a wide range of issues related to Occupational Safety and Health. Conference events and sessions will be organized according to thematic days.
May 30, the first day of the Conference, will be entirely devoted to occupational safety issues. As part of the business program, there will be a Discussion Platform “Assessment and Management of Professional Risks at the Present Stage”, a Round Table “Education, Science, Business: Synergy of Interaction” and a foresight session with the participation of representatives of central government bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be held, where participants will discuss the most important issues of industry.
The Strategic Plenary Session “Occupational Safety and Health: Change Management and Innovative Leadership” will be held with the participation of S. Zhakupova, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, K. Aggus, President of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE), M. Ivankova, Head of the Federal Service for Labor and Employment of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Russian Federation, A. Stevens, Head of the Strategic Interaction Department at IOSH (UK), S. Edwards, Head of the Department for Interaction with Partners on Training Issues, NEBOSH.
On May 31, on the second day of the KIOSH Conference, the Strategic Session “Ensuring industrial and fire safety in the Republic of Kazakhstan” and the Panel Session “Digital transformation in the field of industrial safety: current challenges and effective tools”, a Round Table “Methodology for risk assessment at enterprises of Kazakhstan” with the participation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Republican Research Institute for Labor Protection of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan and industrial enterprises, Training Session “Industrial Safety at Hazardous Production Facilities” will be held, which will raise issues of digitalization of industrial safety and industry development.
Speakers from Rio Tinto, United Metallurgical Company, KAZ Minerals, Severstal will share their experience in working at hazardous facilities. Also, the Conference participants will be presented with the results of a global study in the field of emergency management and prevention of technological accidents, carried out among 100 top managers of 65 leading industrial companies in Western Europe, Russia, North America, the Middle East, Africa and Australia (nuclear and thermal energy, hydropower, oil and gas, chemical industry, mining and metallurgical industries).
