THE OPENING OF THE 27TH INTERNATIONAL TRANSLOGISTICA KAZAKHSTAN 2024 EXHIBITION BECAME AN INSPIRING START TO A NEW ERA IN THE TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS INDUSTRY
ON OCTOBER 9, 2024, THE OPENING OF THE 27TH KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS EXHIBITION — TRANSLOGISTICA KAZAKHSTAN 2024 TOOK PLACE IN ASTANA AT THE EXPO IEC.
This year, the exhibition continues its dynamic development and growth, which underlines the growing interest in the Kazakhstan transport and logistics market and its key role in international transport corridors. The exhibitors included 213 companies from 19 countries, such as Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, China, Lithuania, Latvia, UAE, Russia, Romania, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Switzerland and Estonia. Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia will present their national stands. Particular attention was drawn to the national stands of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, which presented advanced solutions in the field of logistics and transport. On the first day alone, professionals from 49 countries visited the exhibition, which also indicates the demand for the event.
The number of debutants was about 25% of the total number of participants, which indicates the growing significance and attractiveness of the exhibition as a platform for promoting business, exchanging experience and establishing new partnerships. For the first time, the exhibition featured stands from Gebruder Weiss, Unterer Ocr, Taklog International Transports, ABS Group Solutions, Global Customs KZ, Global Trans Company, Kaztralservice and others.
The exhibition began its work with a symbolic ribbon cutting and further discussion of current industry issues within the framework of Plenary Session. Participants in the dialogue were Maksat Kaliakparov, Vice Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Murat Amrin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Member of the Management Board of Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kanat Almagambetov, General Director of the Union of Transport Workers of Kazakhstan - KAZLOGISTICS, Satzhan Ozbekov, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport Policy of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In his welcoming speech, M. Kaliakparov noted: “Every year the exhibition becomes an important platform for discussing current issues and challenges facing our industry. We are proud that Translogistica Kazakhstan serves not only as a place to showcase achievements, but also as an arena for exchanging experience, knowledge and ideas.
This is a unique opportunity for all of us - from representatives of government agencies to businesses - to meet, discuss strategies and establish important contacts”. According to the instructions of K-Zh. Tokayev, the Head of the State, it is necessary to achieve the strategic goal of Kazakhstan to become a key transit hub of the Eurasian region. Our goal is to create an effective and competitive transport system that will contribute to the economic growth and development of the region. “In this context, your presence here has special significance. You are experts and professionals who can share valuable experience, innovative solutions and best practices. The exchange of information and cooperation between all participants of this exhibition will help strengthen ties between all participants in transport systems, as well as find new partners for joint growth”, the Vice Minister also summarized.
Representatives of diplomatic missions and international business communities of Belarus, Bulgaria, Venezuela, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, UAE, Russia, Romania, and Estonia visited the TransLogistica Kazakhstan exhibition to develop business contacts and support their national companies.
In parallel with the exhibition, a rich business program started in the seminar zones. For the first time, key industry conferences were held on the topics: “Development of railway transport and infrastructure in Kazakhstan” and “Transportation of bulky and heavy cargo - BreakBulk Kazakhstan”. The Business Council “Kazakhstan-Netherlands” was also held, in which representatives of the largest transport companies, ports and terminals took part. The Council opened up prospects for a new round of economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands.
Participants also had the opportunity to discuss business issues and establish new partnership relations in the format of B2B meetings. Also, a presentation of the new integrated OkLog system took place, which demonstrated innovative solutions for automating the work of operators and freight forwarders in managing rates, applications and wagon fleet.
Tomorrow, October 10, the TransLogistica Kazakhstan 2024 business program will continue with a number of key events. Professionals will attend the 1st Conference “IT Solutions in Transport and Logistics”, where they will discuss modern digital tools for optimizing logistics processes. There will also be the 3rd International Conference “Warehouse Logistics Market in Kazakhstan”, where participants will discuss current trends and challenges in warehouse infrastructure. On the same day, a series of seminars from TRANSEXPEDITIONS LLP will be held, and the Latvian SIA SIGIS will present its automated transportation management system.
On October 11, the business program will end with a series of expert discussions within the framework of EXPERT TALKS, where the results of the Kazakhstan Transport Week will be summed up and the prospects for the development of the industry in the future will be discussed.
