CREATING A SAFE FUTURE: INTERNATIONAL KIOSH 2025 EXHIBITION AND CONFERENCE IN ASTANA
THE CAPITAL OF KAZAKHSTAN, FROM MAY 28 TO 30, 2025, WILL BECOME THE CENTER FOR DISCUSSING ADVANCED SOLUTIONS IN THE FIELD OF OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH, BRINGING TOGETHER EXPERTS, LEADERS OF THE INDUSTRY AND REPRESENTATIVES OF GOVERNMENT AGENCIES TO WORK TOGETHER TO CREATE SAFE WORKING CONDITIONS AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT. EXPO IEC WILL HOST THE 13TH KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION - KIOSH 2025.
The Republic maintains its course on implementing the Safe Labor Concept until 2030, adopted in December 2023, the implementation of which helps reduce the level of professional risk in the workplace, improve competencies in the field of labor protection, and strengthen economic incentives to improve working conditions. The Concept, based on an analysis of the implementation of the policy in the field of Occupational Safety and Health over the past periods and the main global trends, forms its further vision. In this context, the KIOSH platform is becoming a key tool for achieving the goals of the Concept, providing unique opportunities for exchanging experiences, implementing best practices and discussing innovative approaches to Occupational Safety and Health. Participants of the exhibition and conference can develop joint solutions, strengthen partnerships and identify ways to improve occupational safety standards, which plays a decisive role in sustainable development and the successful implementation of strategic objectives.
At this stage, companies from Kazakhstan, China and Russia have confirmed their participation as exhibitors at the KIOSH exhibition. In order to develop the professional competencies of the occupational safety and health industry professionals, a seminar area, where participating companies will hold a series of training workshops and seminars with expert practitioners, will be open. Together with ERG, it is planned to launch a workshop section as part of the business program, with an emphasis on practical cases for occupational safety and health specialists.
In the context of global changes and the growing responsibility of business for social and environmental well-being, issues of occupational safety and health come to the fore. They are not only a guarantee of protecting the health and lives of workers, but also a key factor in the sustainable development of companies and the state as a whole. All these topics will be addressed during the KIOSH Conference.
The Conference program will outline the main issues in occupational safety and health. The event will feature a Panel Session devoted to the analysis of the first results of the implementation of the Safe Labor Concept in Kazakhstan. Participants will discuss how the interaction between the state and business contributes to the improvement of occupational safety standards, and will consider successful cases and new approaches to the implementation of the concept. The speakers of the Conference include representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the International Labor Organization (ILO), the International Social Security Association (ISSA), the Asia-Pacific Occupational Safety and Health Organization, Japan (APOSHO), the United Nations (UN), the Occupational Risk Prevention International Foundation (ORP), the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health, UK (NEBOSH), the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work, Italy (INAIL), the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA), the Central Institute for Labor Protection – National Research Institute (CIOP-PIB), the All-Russian Research Institute of Labor Federal State Budgetary Institution of the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation, the Research Institute of Labor of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus. Such international status of the speakers indicates recognition of the global significance of the KIOSH conference as an important platform for exchanging experiences, discussing advanced solutions and developing strategies in the field of occupational safety and health. The participation of authoritative world-class experts underlines Kazakhstan as commitment to implementing best global practices and setting international standards for workplace safety.
