PHARMATECH KAZAKHSTAN 2025: IMPETUS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY IN KAZAKHSTAN
FROM MAY 21 TO 23, 2025, THE 2ND KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL “EQUIPMENT, INGREDIENTS AND TECHNOLOGIES FOR PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY” EXHIBITION – PHARMATECH KAZAKHSTAN 2025 WILL BE HELD IN THE SOUTHERN CAPITAL OF THE COUNTRY.
This unique event will bring together leading foreign companies and companies from Kazakhstan engaged in the pharmaceutical and related industries. The exhibition will become a significant driver for the introduction of innovations, attraction of investment and support of the development of the pharmaceutical sector of Kazakhstan, which today show stable growth. It is important to note that the exhibition is being held in Almaty for the first time.
The dynamic development of the country’s pharmaceutical market is confirmed by impressive indicators. According to the Vice Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Nurlybayev, in 2024 the share of domestic pharmaceutical production increased by 22%, to 171.6 billion tenge. At the same time, the volume of attracted investments in the pharmaceutical industry over the past 7 years has increased by 9.5 times. In order to develop domestic production of pharmaceutical products and increase their availability, the National Development Plan of Kazakhstan until 2029 provides for measures to expand cooperation with global pharmaceutical corporations, attract investments, transfer technologies and make the latest developments in the production localization, which emphasizes the importance of the upcoming exhibition.
PharmaTECH Kazakhstan will cover all aspects of pharmaceutical production – from the design and construction of enterprises to the procurement of ingredients, the production of finished pharmaceutical products and their transportation. Special attention will be given to innovations in packaging, labeling and the introduction of advanced quality control technologies, which makes the exhibition an important platform for solving urgent problems of the industry.
A special feature of PharmaTECH Kazakhstan 2025 will be its holding simultaneously with the anniversary 30th international Healthcare exhibition – KIHE 2025. This large-scale event will bring together representatives of medicine, healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, occupying all the pavilions of Atakent exhibition center in Almaty. Such synergy creates a unique opportunity for professionals from related industries to exchange experiences and strengthen cooperation.
In addition to the exhibition display, the exhibition will include a conference on the topic “Pharmaceutical Industry of Kazakhstan: Challenges and Realities”, where speakers will discuss issues of drug supply, innovative approaches to production and labeling of products. The conference will become an important discussion platform contributing to the development of effective solutions for the further development of pharmaceutical industry.
The list of the exhibition participants continues to expand, confirming the high interest in the project from international and domestic companies. At the moment, companies from Belarus, Great Britain, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan and South Korea have confirmed their participation. Representatives of governmental bodies, heads of pharmaceutical companies and pharmacy networks, as well as specialists from medical institutions will visit the exhibition. Such a variety of participants and guests will create unique conditions for exchanging experiences, discussing current issues in the industry and establishing partnerships.
PharmaTECH Kazakhstan is a fledgling unique international exhibition platform that will facilitate the establishment of cooperation with global pharmaceutical corporations, attract investment in the development of pharmaceutical production in Kazakhstan, increase the export potential of domestic pharmaceutical products, build up scientific and human resource capacity, expand the volume and range of offtake contracts with domestic manufacturers.
