KIOSH 2025: INNOVATIVE APPROACHES TO REDUCING PRODUCTION RISKS AND STRENGTHENING INDUSTRIAL SAFETY
VERY SOON, A SIGNIFICANT INDUSTRY EVENT IN THE FIELD OF LABOR PROTECTION AND INDUSTRIAL SAFETY WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE CAPITAL’S EXPO INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION CENTER.
From May 28 to 30, 2025, leading manufacturing companies, expert practitioners, representatives of the government apparatus and industry associations will meet at the site of the 13th Kazakhstan International Occupational Safety and Health Conference and Exhibition - KIOSH 2025.
Over 70 companies from Belarus, Germany, India, Kazakhstan, China, Latvia, Pakistan, Russia, Romania and Turkey will present the latest developments, technologies and solutions in the field of Occupational Safety and Health, industrial process safety, personal protective equipment, digitalization methods and personnel training. The KIOSH 2025 exhibition will showcase both time-tested safety tools and innovative approaches to reducing industrial risks and preventing accidents at enterprises.

The exhibition’s business program will be held in two seminar zones at once. The Republican Research Institute for Labor Protection of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan will hold a number of practical seminars, sessions, workshops and master classes aimed at improving the culture of occupational safety, assessing professional risks, popularizing safe working methods and improving the skills of specialists in this field. Particular emphasis will be placed on the practical application of modern labor safety standards, the integration of digital solutions into industrial control processes and the prevention of occupational diseases.
In the second seminar zone, seminars from exhibiting and partner companies will be held over three days, and new models of overalls will be shown. Presentations by expert practitioners from market leaders will help participants gain new knowledge, practical tools and ideas for implementing effective solutions in their companies. The ERG Corporate University Security Academy will present unique content and carry out a mini course on First Aid and a mini training course on Security Communications.
Also on the exhibition territory there will be a Special Site: Demonstration of Work at Height, which will be able to clearly demonstrate advanced methods of ensuring safety when working at height, the use of safety equipment, personal protective equipment, as well as the correct algorithms for action in emergency situations. The master class will be carried out by a certified instructor and expert with extensive experience in practical training.
The year 2025 will feature an expanded conference section, for the first time the KIOSH Conference will be held over all three days of the exhibition, which will allow for a more in-depth coverage of key topics and provide participants with more opportunities to discuss current Occupational Safety and Health issues. The central topic of the Conference will be: The Future of Occupational Safety and Health: Strategies, Trends and Innovative Solutions.
The program will cover issues of integrating new technologies into Occupational Safety processes, developing a safety culture in production, using digital solutions for monitoring and risk analysis, as well as issues of changing legislation in the field of Occupational Safety and Health.
In 2025, declared the Year of Blue-Collar Jobs in Kazakhstan, the Conference takes on special significance, emphasizing the importance of developing safe working conditions for blue-collar workers and popularizing blue-collar jobs through modern occupational safety standards. The Conference will include panel and strategic sessions, round tables and master classes with the participation of leading experts, representatives of government agencies, businesses and international organizations.
The speakers will include representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republican Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises (AMME), the Kazakhstan Association of Oil, Gas and Energy Complex Organizations “KAZENERGY”, the Paryz National Confederation of Employers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, industrial companies - ERG, Qarmet and others. Also, reports will be given by Rebecca Hickman, the Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Association for the Prevention of Accidents - RoSPA, Darren Nichols, the International Expert in Industrial Safety, Mikhail Zhiganov, the Head of the Department for the Development of Safety Culture at Norilsk Nickel.
The first day of the KIOSH Conference will be filled with key sessions on advanced trends in industrial safety. The program will open with a discussion of the transformation of the national system of professional competencies in the field of Occupational Safety and Health, and then participants will learn how artificial intelligence, Big Data and digital technologies are changing approaches to ensuring safety. After a short break, there will be a session on innovative solutions for Occupational Safety and Health. The second half of the day will be devoted to international experience in preventing industrial injuries and a discussion of the role of safety culture in the economy of enterprises. The day will end with a VIP tour for official delegations and a strategic plenary session, where experts will present their vision of the future of the industry. The topic of the Plenary Session this year is “The Future of Occupational Safety and Health: Strategies, Trends and Innovative Solutions”.
The second day of the KIOSH Conference, with ERG as a partner, will be dedicated to the development of a corporate safety culture and modern approaches to risk management. Participants will discuss how to create an environment where compliance with safety requirements becomes a natural norm, as well as new methods for moving from inspection control to involvement of employees into Occupational Safety and Health processes. After a coffee break, attention will be paid to the digitalization of risk assessment processes. In the afternoon, there will be sessions dedicated to effective communication on safety issues and the development of professional competencies of specialists in the field of Occupational Safety and Health that meet the requirements of the future. The program part of the Conference, organized jointly with ERG, will bring together heads of Occupational Safety and Health departments of the country’s leading industrial companies. Representatives of such large enterprises as Samruk-Energo, Solidcore Resources, QazaqGaz and KazMinerals have confirmed their participation. Discussion of current challenges and exchange of best practices will make this block of the program an important site for professional dialogue and development of solutions in the field of Occupational Safety and Health.
In order to increase the interactivity and involvement of participants, the program includes Safety Games – business games that simulate real situations in the field of Occupational Safety. SAFETY GAMES 360 community unites all training experts, game practitioners and current employees of Occupational Safety services who make materials on Occupational Safety and Health accessible, understandable, exciting and effective for assimilation and further application in work activities to preserve the lives and health of employees.
The Conference will include a specialized meeting of experts in the field of technogenic safety on the topic of “Ensuring the safety and integrity of hazardous production facilities and equipment”. The session partner will be the Council for the formation of the national market of professional services in the field of technogenic safety under the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Participants will discuss current issues of modernization of safety systems in production, effective practices for ensuring the integrity of equipment and approaches to minimizing risks at high-risk facilities.
