97 COMPANIES FROM 10 COUNTRIES PRESENT NEW SOLUTIONS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE OIL AND GAS AND CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRIES AND AT ATYRAU OIL&GAS AND ATYRAUBUILD
TODAY, APRIL 2, THE 22ND NORTH CASPIAN REGIONAL «ATYRAU OIL&GAS» EXHIBITION BEGAN ITS WORK IN ATYRAU. IN PARALLEL, THE NORTH CASPIAN REGIONAL CONSTRUCTION AND INTERIOR EXHIBITION - «ATYRAUBUILD» IS ALSO TAKING PLACE ON THESE DATES.
The exhibition began its work with a familiarization tour of the exhibition with the participation of representatives of government agencies and oil and gas companies. Among the honored guests were Daryn Shamuratov, the Deputy Akim of the Atyrau region, Temirlan Urkumbayev, the Director of the Department of Oil and Gas Chemistry and Technical Regulation of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhandos Nurmaganbetov, the General Director of the KAZENERGY Association, Kairgeldy Kabyldin, the Deputy General Director for Relations with the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Caspian Pipeline Consortium-K JSC, Ruyu Giancarlo, the Managing Director of the North Caspian Operating Company, Asylbek Dzhakiyev, the Chairman of the Oil and Gas Council of Kazakhstan, PetroCouncil, Petito Aniello, the Deputy Head of Mission at the Italian Embassy in Astana, Martino Castellani, the Director of the Italian Trade Commission I.C.E. – the Head of the Trade Exchange Development Department of the Italian Embassy in Kazakhstan (ICE/ITA Agency).
According to Daryn Shamuratov, the Deputy Akim of the Atyrau region, «AtyrauOil&Gas» and «AtyrauBuild» exhibitions are an important platform for the development of innovations and attracting investment in the oil and gas sector.
- As you know, Atyrau region is one of the key drivers of the economy of Kazakhstan. In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, special attention is paid to the development of the petrochemical industry. Our main task is to introduce new technologies in this area and improve production efficiency. I am confident that such events contribute to strengthening international cooperation and unlocking the potential of our region, - D. Shamuratov, the Deputy Akim of the Atyrau region, said.
Expo-events are the central business platform where government officials, leading companies and industry experts meet to discuss current issues, find new partnerships and demonstrate advanced technologies in the oil and gas and construction sectors. The latest developments in the joint exposition were presented by 97 companies from 10 countries: Austria, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, the Netherlands, the UAE, Pakistan, Russia and Singapore.
As noted by Zhandos Nurmaganbetov, the General Director of the KAZENERGY Association, the exhibition is a significant event that annually brings together leading specialists in the oil and gas industry, providing a unique platform for exchanging experiences, discussing current issues and establishing new business contacts.
- The oil and gas industry plays a key role in the economy of Kazakhstan, ensuring energy security, attracting investment and forming a significant part of the country’s GDP. Atyrau is the flagship of the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan, which has historically become the center of the country’s oil and gas sector. In 2024, the region produced 50 million tons of oil (57% of the total production in the country) and 26.5 billion cubic meters of gas (44.9% of the total production in the republic), - Zh. Nurmaganbetov, the General Director of the KAZENERGY Association, noted in his welcoming speech.
The exhibition will feature a large number of debutant companies, a large-scale outdoor exhibition, where 11 exhibitors will demonstrate specialized machinery, equipment and innovative solutions for the industry.
Particular attention this year is drawn to the national exposition of Italy, which brings together 18 leading manufacturers. The companies present a wide range of solutions for the oil and gas industry, including equipment for the automation of technological processes, quality control systems, data monitoring software, as well as components such as valves and fittings. The Italian stand provides a unique opportunity to get acquainted with innovative developments, establish partnership relations and exchange experiences with industry leaders.
As noted by Martino Castellani, the Director of the Department for the Development of Trade Exchange (ICE) of the Italian Embassy in Kazakhstan, the participation of Italian companies at the exhibition in Atyrau confirms the high level of cooperation between Italy and Kazakhstan in the oil and gas sector:
- Our companies present a wide range of equipment for the oil and gas sector - from shut-off fittings and valves to fire-fighting systems and measuring instruments. Some Italian companies already have representative offices in Kazakhstan, and for others this is the first opportunity to get acquainted with the local market. Despite the fact that the exhibition is regional in nature, the interest in it from the Italian business community was high. For us, Kazakhstan is a strategic partner in the oil and gas industry. We see significant potential for expanding cooperation.
Today, Atyrau region is the center of the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan, where major projects such as Tengiz, Kashagan and Karachaganak are being implemented. Therefore, the exhibition provides visitors with the opportunity to meet with representatives of leading oil and gas companies, government agencies, equipment and service suppliers, as well as potential partners.
- We came from Berlin. We are manufacturers of batteries and uninterruptible power supply systems for oil and gas companies. We are interested in cooperation with Kazakhstani companies, finding new business partners and implementing joint projects. We want to carry out a market analysis in order to take part in the exhibition next year as participants and also present our products, - Marina Schutz, the Business Development Manager of «Leoch Battery», the German company, said.
It should be noted that the rich business program of the exhibition over the course of three days will be provided by dozens of speakers from among representatives of government agencies, expert practitioners, representatives of the largest industry associations and unions.
The program began with a Plenary Session «Prospects and Challenges of New Projects in the Petrochemical Industry». Experts discussed strategic directions for the development of the industry, investment support measures, and the introduction of environmentally friendly and innovative technologies. Then a Panel Session: «Further Prospects for the Implementation of Digital Solutions in the Oil and Gas Industry» was held, where they discussed issues related to big data, automation of production, artificial intelligence and their impact on operational activities.
Tomorrow, April 3, the business program will be devoted to an in-depth discussion of procurement processes. The business program will include seminars from Tengizchevroil, NCOC and KPO. There will also be industrial excursions and a press tour to «Makhambet» Industrial and Production Complex (TEXOL Group of Companies) and Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. LLP.
Atyrau Oil&Gas exhibition remains an important event for the industry, facilitating the formation of new partnerships, the implementation of innovative solutions and the solution of key tasks of the oil and gas sector.
The 22nd North Caspian Regional «Atyrau Oil&Gas» Exhibition and the North Caspian Regional Construction and Interior Exhibition - «AtyrauBuild» will last until April 4.
