THE FUTURE OF TOURISM IN ONE PLACE: KITF 2025 SETS THE TRENDS
FROM APRIL 23 TO 25, 2025, THE MOST ANTICIPATED ANNUAL EVENT IN THE TOURISM INDUSTRY OF CENTRAL ASIA – THE KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION “TOURISM AND TRAVEL” KITF 2025 WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE ATAKENT EXHIBITION CENTRE (ALMATY).
This year’s event will bring together 531 companies from 31 countries. Participants from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Vietnam, Greece, Georgia, Egypt, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Qatar, China, Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Malaysia, the Maldives, the UAE, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Thailand, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Sri Lanka, South Korea, and Japan will showcase the full range of tourism services – from new travel destinations and medical tourism to digital technologies for travel and much more.
One of the highlights of this expo event will be the active participation of Kazakhstan's regions. The exhibition will feature stands from 14 regions of the republic, showcasing the country’s tourism potential. Unique travel offerings will be presented by: Almaty, Akmola Region, Almaty Region, Atyrau Region, East Kazakhstan Region, Zhambyl Region, Karaganda Region, Kyzylorda Region, Mangystau Region, Zhetysu Region, Pavlodar Region, North Kazakhstan Region, Turkistan Region, and Ulytau Region.
Large-scale business program will be organized during all three days of the exhibition. The content of the KITF Travel Forum 2025, under the theme TREND ZONE: BEYOND TRAVEL, will include strategic sessions, panel discussions, and specialized workshops. On April 23, five thematic sessions will take place, including: “Next-gen travel: strategies and industry transformation,” “New routes: the Asian boom, combi-tours, digital visas, and paperless borders,” “Aviation 2025+: new routes, sky-high competition, and the race for passengers,” “Hyper-personalization and technology: from big data and AI to predictive tourism,” and “AMBASSADOR TRAVEL: How bloggers are becoming key players in the industry”.
On April 24, the business program will open with a plenary session on medical tourism titled: “The Medical Tourism Ecosystem: How to connect healthcare, hospitality, and logistics? Where is the line between treatment, service, and data?”. Following this will be the session: “The Tour Guide of a New Era: Traditions, Challenges, and Innovations in the Development of Domestic and Inbound Tourism”. Luxury tourism experts will conduct a master class titled “How to Sell High-End: Premium Tourism Without Turning Luxury into Mass Market”. For the first time, an expert “grill session” will take place, where three real travel cases from the audience will be analyzed in an open dialogue. The business program will conclude with a final discussion: “What to Do Tomorrow? Anti-Crisis and Viral Strategies for Growth” featuring TOP experts, strategists, and digital futurists of the industry.
On April 25, the focus will shift to domestic tourism, with experts and representatives of regional Tourism Departments of the Republic of Kazakhstan conducting master classes and presentations on domestic and inbound tourism. The day will also feature the final round of the student business project competition “I CHOOSE TOURISM!”.
