KAZ MINERALS GROUP HAS BECOME THE GOLD PARTNER OF THE XV INTERNATIONAL MINING AND METALLURGICAL CONGRESS AMM 2025, WHICH WILL TAKE PLACE ON JUNE 4–5 IN ASTANA.
KAZ Minerals is a high-growth copper mining company focused on developing large-scale, low-cost open-pit operations in Kazakhstan. The Group operates the Aktogay copper mine and the Orlovsky mine and concentrator in Abay Region, the Bozshakol mine in Pavlodar Region, two underground mines with a concentrator in East Kazakhstan Region, and the Bozymchak copper-gold mine in Kyrgyzstan. In 2024, KAZ Minerals produced a total of 380 thousand tonnes of copper, along with by-products including 145.8 thousand ounces of gold, 3.7 million ounces of silver, and 42.8 thousand tonnes of zinc in concentrate.
The Group’s key production assets – Aktogay and Bozshakol – have driven industry-leading production growth, transforming KAZ Minerals into a company with a world-class open-pit copper asset portfolio. The Aktogay expansion project, aimed at doubling sulphide ore processing capacity, was officially launched in October 2021, with the first shipments to customers made in December 2021.
