KEY VECTORS AND CHALLENGES OF THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY WILL BE DISCUSSED AT THE CONFERENCE WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE KIHE 2025 AND PHARMATECH KAZAKHSTAN 2025 EXHIBITIONS.
FROM MAY 21 TO 23, 2025, THE MAIN EVENTS IN THE FIELD OF HEALTHCARE AND PHARMACEUTICALS WILL BE HELD IN ALMATY ON THE TERRITORY OF ATAKENT KCBC - THE 30TH KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL HEALTHCARE EXHIBITION - KIHE 2025 AND THE 2ND KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL EQUIPMENT, RAW MATERIALS AND TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY EXHIBITION - PHARMATECH KAZAKHSTAN 2025.
Together, the two projects form an effective platform for an open dialogue between government agencies, business and the expert community. The total number of participating companies in the two exhibitions is 396 companies from Belarus, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Egypt, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Pakistan, Poland, Singapore, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.
The PharmaTECH Kazakhstan exhibition will feature 53 companies that will present a wide range of medicines, nutraceuticals, vitamin and mineral complexes and biologically active supplements. Raw materials and ingredients for pharmaceutical production, equipment for the pharmaceutical industry, production design technologies, clean room systems and solutions in the field of registration of medicines, medical devices and medical equipment will also be demonstrated.
The focus of the upcoming events is the pharmaceutical industry and its strategic development in Kazakhstan. A special place in the business program is occupied by the conference “Pharmaceutical Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Realities and Development Prospects”, which will be held as part of the PharmaTECH Kazakhstan 2025 expo event. The conference covers a wide range of relevant topics, including registration and labeling of medicines, issues of localization of production, features of pricing and regulation, development of logistics and implementation of digital technologies.
The conference will open with a plenary session “Pharmaceutical Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Realities and Development Prospects” with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Committee for Medical and Pharmaceutical Control, departments of pharmaceutical development and representatives of SK-Pharmacy, the National Center for Expertise of Medicines and Medical Devices, industry associations. Within the framework of this session, participants will discuss the current state of the pharmaceutical industry and outline strategic guidelines for its development. After the plenary session, the conference will continue in the format of three thematic sessions, each of which will be devoted to the most pressing issues for market participants.
The first session “Provision of Medicines” will cover issues of pricing, regulation, and strategy for providing the population with medicines. Moderated by Marina Durmanova, the President of the Association for the Support and Development of Pharmaceutical Activities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, participants will discuss regional trends, challenges, and prospects in this area. Speakers will include representatives of the Ministry of Healthcare, industry associations, and major international companies, including STADA Kazakhstan, Johnson & Johnson Kazakhstan, and Vi-ORTIS.
The second session “Regulation of Medicines and Medical Devices in Today’s Realities” will focus on legislative changes and reform of the outpatient medicine supply system. Particular attention will be paid to issues of decentralization, transfer of functions to state and private pharmacy organizations, as well as digitalization of the process. The moderator will be Ruslan Sultanov, the President of the PharmMedIndustry Association of Kazakhstan. The discussion will be attended by experts from the National Scientific Center for Healthcare Development, the Republican Center for Electronic Healthcare, as well as representatives of AstraZeneca and TEVA Kazakhstan.
The program of thematic presentations will be concluded by the third session “Labeling of Medicines”, in which participants will consider the current state of implementation of the labelling system, its regulatory and technological aspects, as well as the impact on supply chain participants. Speakers include representatives of the Committee for Medical and Pharmaceutical Control, SK-Pharmacy, the Salamat Pharmacy Chain and developers of digital solutions.
In addition to the main program, the exhibition will include practice-oriented expert seminars that will allow participants to gain an in-depth understanding of the applied aspects of the pharmaceutical industry. On May 21, Medstandard will hold a panel discussion on the topic “Modern trends in registration: the view of experts from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and the role of business in this process”, and LaborPharma will organize a seminar that will present new solutions in the field of laboratory and pharmaceutical technologies. On May 22, WELLGO will hold a seminar dedicated to the international logistics of pharmaceutical products, heat-sensitive goods and medical equipment.
The KIHE 2025 and PharmaTECH Kazakhstan 2025 exhibitions once again confirm their status as leading industry events that determine the pharmaceutical industry development vector.
