MMC IN THE ERA OF CHANGE: AMM 2025 INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS WILL BRING INDUSTRY LEADERS TOGETHER IN ASTANA
ON JUNE 4-5, 2025, ASTANA, THE CAPITAL OF KAZAKHSTAN, WILL BECOME THE CENTER OF ATTRACTION FOR THE GLOBAL MINING AND METALLURGICAL INDUSTRY THANKS TO THE 15TH INTERNATIONAL MINING AND METALLURGICAL CONGRESS - ASTANA MINING & METALLURGY - AMM 2025.
The main topic of the Congress 2025 is “Transformation of the Mining and Metallurgical Complex: Responses to Global Challenges and Market Changes”, which will cover issues of sustainable development, implementation of innovative technologies, diversification of production, ensuring resource and energy efficiency, as well as developing strategies for adapting the industry to the rapidly changing global economy and the requirements of the environmental agenda.
Traditionally, AMM 2025 is represented by the Congress and exhibition of unique developments and proposals from leading manufacturers of the mining and metallurgy sector. The 2025 exposition will be presented by 50 companies from 12 countries: Germany, Kazakhstan, Canada, Cyprus, China, Russia, USA, Turkey, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Japan. The wide participation of Kazakhstani companies demonstrates the active development of the industry within the country: 35 participants of the exhibition are domestic companies and 15 are international exhibitors demonstrating interest in the Kazakhstan market and readiness for cooperation.
The expanded exhibition area will feature a wide range of products and services: advanced technologies and equipment, chemical products for the mining and metallurgical industry, industrial and environmental safety solutions, geological research, engineering services and innovative developments. The participants include key players in various fields offering relevant and in-demand solutions for industry.
In 2025, 750 delegates from 20 countries: Austria, Great Britain, Germany, the European Union, Spain, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Mongolia, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Finland, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Chile, Japan, Tajikistan, will take part in the specialized sessions of the Congress.
Within the two-day business program of the Congress, which covers 19 thematic sessions and 3 specialized forums, a wide range of issues related to the development of the mining and metallurgical industry and technological solutions in the industry will be considered. On the first day of the Congress, a Plenary Session “Transformation of the Mining and Metallurgical Complex: Responses to Global Challenges and Market Changes” will be held. The substantive part of the first day of the Congress, June 4, will focus on 6 strategic panel sessions that will cover key aspects of the development and transformation of the mining and metallurgical complex. The program includes discussions of topics of strategic importance for the industry and the economy as a whole. Among them: “Man-made mineral formations and waste processing: the best cases of effective resource management”, “Ensuring industrial safety at mining enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, “Strategic hub of Central Asia: Kazakhstan as part of the global supply chain of critical raw minerals”, “Geological exploration in Kazakhstan - current state, challenges and solutions”, as well as “Mining and Metallurgical Complex of Kazakhstan: overcoming challenges”. Particular attention on the first day will be paid to international partnership. The sessions on bilateral and multilateral cooperation will include a meeting of the geological services of the partner countries, as well as sessions: “Unlocking the Potential - Sweden and Kazakhstan: Sustainable Mining, Digital Solutions and Green Transformation” and “New Technologies, Experience and Modern Solutions - All in One: the Best of Canada for the Mining Industry of Kazakhstan”, a Case Study on Critical Minerals of the UK and Kazakhstan will be presented. The busy business agenda will be complemented by a PR lunch for media representatives and communications specialists on the topic “The Voice of the Industry: Media, Reputation, Communication”.
The second day of the Congress will be entirely devoted to technical sessions to discuss the digitalization of mining and metallurgical works. On June 5, with the traditional support of the DRAGMET Association, the VI Forum of Gold Miners of Kazakhstan and the Congress of Jewelers of Kazakhstan will be held within the framework of the Congress. Also, the VI Forum of the Coal Industry of Kazakhstan will be held, which is held annually in partnership with the AMME. The content part of the second day will include sessions on the following topics: “MMC in the era of artificial intelligence: new discoveries”, “Related technologies in the mining and metallurgical industry - increasing production efficiency” and “Domestic value and inter-industry cooperation”. A training will be held especially for PR specialists, where speakers will discuss the topic of conflict management. GR Hub will allow establishing high-quality business contacts with representatives of the public sector and discuss challenges and opportunities for GR.

The annual industry competition of republican significance “Golden Hephaestus” will be held on June 4, where the winners will receive deserved recognition for their contribution and will be awarded in 15 nominations.
