THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE COUNTRY’S MAIN CONSTRUCTION EXHIBITION, A NEW SPECIALIZED PAVILION B, MANUFACTURERS FROM 30 COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD - ALL THIS AT KAZBUILD AND AQUATHERM ALMATY 2024
TODAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2024, THE LARGEST INDUSTRY EXHIBITIONS IN KAZAKHSTAN BEGAN THEIR WORK IN FOUR PAVILIONS AND AN OUTDOOR AREA OF THE ATAKENT KCBC - THE 30TH KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCTION AND INTERIOR EXHIBITION - KAZBUILD 2024 AND THE 16TH INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION FOR DOMESTIC AND INDUSTRIAL HEATING, WATER SUPPLY, SANITARY, AIR-CONDITIONING, VENTILATION EQUIPMENT - AQUATHERM ALMATY 2024.
The combined exposition of the two exhibitions brought together 531 companies from 30 countries, the participants’ stands were located throughout the territory of the Atakent KCBC. Taking into account the growth in the number of exhibition exhibitors, in 2024, in addition to the usual three pavilions and an outdoor area, the exposition of the exhibitions was displayed in a new special pavilion B.
China acted as the Partner Country this year. It is noteworthy that in addition to the large National Stand, Pavilion B featured 49 new manufacturers from China.
In total, 316 companies from 26 countries, such as Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Egypt, Iran, India, Indonesia, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, UAE, Malaysia, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France, became participants of the KazBuild exhibition. National stands were presented by Germany, China, UAE, Poland. Exhibitors presented the latest construction materials and equipment, finishing materials and interior solutions, window and profile technologies, as well as ceramics and stone.
Aquatherm Almaty 2024 also impresses with its results and the growth of the expo area. The heating, ventilation and air conditioning and water supply and sewerage industry event is attended by 215 participants from 17 countries, who present new engineering solutions and technologies, as well as the best equipment in the industry. Manufacturers, suppliers and distributors from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, India, Italy, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, the Czech Republic, and South Korea presented their stands. Manufacturers from Germany, China and Turkey presented their best solutions at national stands, emphasizing the scale and international significance of the event.
The interest of foreign and local manufacturers in the Kazakhstan market is demonstrated by the exhibition statistics: 211 companies (40% of the total) participated with stands for the first time, and the percentage of international participation reaches 77%.
The symbolic start of the exhibitions was the Plenary Session with the participation of representatives of the government apparatus, industry associations and unions, which ended with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The topic of discussion “Trends in the construction industry of Kazakhstan: BIM technologies, artificial intelligence and earthquake-resistant design” aroused keen interest among the participants of the dialogue platform.
The speakers discussed the introduction of modern technologies and approaches to design, the adoption of the law on the implementation of BIM and its impact on the efficiency of projects, the use of artificial intelligence in construction and the optimization of construction process management systems. The session was moderated by Almat Zhamankulov, the Chief Specialist in BIM Development, KAZGOR Design Academy.
The participants of the Plenary Session were M. Andakov, Deputy Chairman of the Industry Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, M. Zhamankulov, President of the National Association of Designers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, B. Sabdenaliyev, First Vice-Rector - Provost of the International Educational Corporation (Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering) and others.
In his welcoming speech, Mukhamed Andakov noted: “Holding and organizing such exhibitions once again demonstrates the relevance of issues related to the development of the construction industry. I believe that exhibitions are a significant event in the development of the construction industry, which gives participants the opportunity to exchange best practices and knowledge in the industries. The introduction and development of new technologies will give a good impetus to the development of production in the construction industry and to the renewal of the production process”. M. Andakov also announced statistical data for his department. Thus, in the period from 2019 to 2023, the area of commissioned housing increased by 33.6%, and further growth is predicted, which will ensure stable demand for building materials. "According to the results of 2023, the share of domestic manufacturers in the construction industry is 68%, and the share of imported goods is 32%”, said the Deputy Chairman of the Industry Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the end of the Plenary Session, speakers, representatives of industry associations, members of diplomatic missions of participating countries, and the exhibition organizers took a familiarization tour of the exposition.
The seminar areas were also very active. On the first day of the exhibition, the specialized Window Futurism Forum from FUTURUSS started, visitors were able to gain practical knowledge during a training master class for installers and ventilation equipment specialists from Начни дышать (Nachni Dyshat) LLC and a seminar for installers and plumbers from the Technar Training Center. Also, exhibiting companies such as Kiturami Kazakhstan, Aledo, AND Asia, Hafele Kazakhstan, Klimatrade held a number of training seminars.
Tomorrow, the 2nd Installers Championship “Technar PRO Kazakhstan 2024” will take place - a competition of professional skills in sanitary and technical systems, organized jointly with Technar Training Center LLC. Also in the seminar area there will be seminars from specialized associations: Japanese ROTOBO Association, Union of Architects of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National Association of Designers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professional TANU Association.
