KAZBUILD AND AQUATHERM ALMATY 2024: INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS AND NEW HORIZONS FOR INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
FROM SEPTEMBER 4 TO 6, 2024, THE ATAKENT EXHIBITION CENTER HOSTED THE LARGEST INDUSTRY EXHIBITIONS IN KAZAKHSTAN - THE 30TH KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCTION AND INTERIOR EXHIBITION - KAZBUILD 2024 AND THE 16TH INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION FOR DOMESTIC AND INDUSTRIAL HEATING, WATER SUPPLY, SANITARY, AIR-CONDITIONING, VENTILATION EQUIPMENT - AQUATHERM ALMATY 2024.
The 2024 exposition took place in four pavilions and an outdoor exhibition, where 531 companies from 30 countries presented their advanced technologies in the construction, heating, ventilation and air conditioning and water supply and sewerage industries. The exhibitions demonstrated a significant increase in the number of exhibitors from different countries, which led to the emergence of a new Pavilion B - a unique space where 49 new manufacturers from China were able to present their innovations and establish new business connections, opening up new horizons for international cooperation. China was the Partner Country of the event.
316 companies from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Egypt, Iran, India, Indonesia, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, UAE, Malaysia, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France became participants of the 30th Anniversary KazBuild Exhibition. Having united in national stands, companies from Germany, China, UAE and Poland presented their solutions. A wide range of new products was presented at the stands: building materials and equipment, finishing materials and interior solutions, window and profile technologies, as well as ceramics and stone.
The Aquatherm Almaty exhibition stands were filled with a lively atmosphere for all three days - this year, 215 companies from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, India, Italy, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, the Czech Republic, and South Korea took part. Manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors from Germany, China, and Turkey presented their national stands.
Among the exhibitors in 2024, 77% were foreign companies, which confirms the significance of the event on the international platform. The number of debutants was 40% (88 companies) of the total number of participants, which indicates the growing significance and attractiveness of the exhibition as a platform for promoting business, exchanging experiences and establishing new partnership relations.
The exhibitions began with a Plenary Session on the topic “Trends in the Construction Industry of Kazakhstan: BIM Technologies, Artificial Intelligence and Earthquake-Resistant Design” with the participation of M. Andakov, Deputy Chairman of the Industry Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, M. Zhamankulov, President of the National Association of Designers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, B. Sabdenaliyev, First Vice-Rector - Provost of the International Educational Corporation (Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering) and others. Traditionally, the Plenary Session ended with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Then the speakers of the Plenary Session, representatives of industry associations, members of diplomatic missions of the participating countries, as well as the organizers of the exhibition took a familiarization tour of the exposition.
Over the three exhibition days, 7,953 specialists became unique visitors to the exhibitions. The participants of the exhibitions noted the large number of visitors and their high interest in the presented products, which confirms the demand and competitiveness of the expositions in the current market conditions.
- For our company, this is the second experience of participation in the KazBuild exhibition, and this year we consider it very successful. We see active interest from visitors: the number of people is large, and in general everything was held at a high level. The target audience was about 90% of the total number of visitors. We see that these are exactly the people we are interested in: designers, developers, foremen, painters - our main target group, - shared his opinion Arlen Kasymzhanov, Commercial Director of AND ASIA.
The exhibitions received many positive reviews from participants and visitors, who noted the high quality of organization, the diversity of exhibitors and the convenience of interaction. Gulnur Makhimova, Project Manager of Kazteplostandart LLP shared her impressions:
- Visually, the exhibition made a great impression - a lot of different companies and a huge range, especially in the field of engineering solutions, which was exactly what I was looking for. The organization is at a high level: everything is structured by country and manufacturer, and this really helps to quickly find the right participants. In addition, all materials are available in electronic format, and the consultants are very competent in explaining all the details. I found several dealers that interested me.
A rich business program for participants and visitors was held at three sites at once. On the first exhibition day, September 4, the specialized Forum “Window Futurism” started. Visitors received practical knowledge during training master classes for installers and ventilation equipment specialists from Начни дышать (Nachni Dyshat) LLC and for installers and plumbers from the Technar Training Center. Professional TANU Association held a series of presentations dedicated to effective communications in the professional environment.
On September 5, the 2nd Championship of Installers “Technar PRO Kazakhstan 2024” was held - a competition of professional skills in plumbing systems, organized jointly with the Technar Training Center LLC. Also, seminars from specialized associations were held in the conference halls: the Japanese ROTOBO Association, the Union of Architects of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Association of Designers of the Republic of Kazakhstan. KAZGOR DA held a series of sessions on innovations in design, including the use of AI and BIM tools to optimize processes.
The KazBuild and Aquatherm Almaty exhibitions became the center of interaction between participants from Kazakhstan and other countries, providing participants and visitors with a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences, find new partners and learn about the latest trends on one site.
The event was officially supported by the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Almaty city, trade representations and diplomatic missions.
