15 YEARS TOGETHER WITH THE INDUSTRY: AMM 2025 IS THE ANNIVERSARY CONGRESS AND EXHIBITION DEFINING THE VECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE MINING AND METALLURGICAL COMPLEX OF KAZAKHSTAN
FROM JUNE 4-5, 2025, ASTANA WILL HOST THE 15TH ANNIVERSARY MINING AND METALLURGICAL CONGRESS AND THE ASTANA MINING & METALLURGY AMM 2025 SPECIALIZED EXHIBITION, A KEY EVENT IN THE MINING AND METALLURGICAL INDUSTRY OF KAZAKHSTAN AND THE COUNTRIES OF EURASIA.
Over the years, AMM has deservedly become a recognized international platform for dialogue between business, government, science and investors. This year, the jubilee status of the Congress attaches special importance to the event, emphasizing its contribution to the development and modernization of the industry.
The exposition of the 2025 exhibition
45 companies from 13 countries will present their products, technologies and solutions at AMM 2025, demonstrating innovations in mining, processing, automation and sustainable development. Exhibitors from Germany, Kazakhstan, Canada, Cyprus, China, Russia, Taiwan, France, Switzerland, Sweden, and Japan will present solutions and products in key areas: mining machinery, digitalization of production, ore processing, ecology, and industrial safety.
Special attention this year is focused on new exhibitors who will present their technologies at AMM for the first time: Alpha-Safety, Asiafilter Inc, Jennmar, Dars, Datamine, Unified Trading System – Kazakhstan, Cutes Corporation, Continental Industrie, Moore Kazakhstan, Nfc Kazakhstan, Sensors One, Turanindustrial, the Private Company Kazakhstan Jinghong Engineering Machinery Ltd., and Epiroc Central Asia. Their participation strengthens AMM's international status as a point of attraction for advanced solutions and opens up new opportunities for technological partnership in the mining and metallurgical sector.
The AMM 2025 exhibition is a strategically important demonstration platform where participants will be able not only to present their technological solutions and developments, but also to conclude promising contracts, attract investments and expand the geography of partnerships. The unique composition of the exhibitors and the professional audience makes the event an effective tool for promoting products, strengthening market positions, and establishing a direct dialogue with potential customers, investors, and government officials.
AMM Congress 2025
The central element of the event will traditionally be the AMM Congress, which this year focuses on current challenges and strategic development vectors of the industry. The program includes a plenary session dedicated to the transformation of the mining and metallurgical complex of Kazakhstan, sustainability and international cooperation.
At the AMM Plenary Session, leading experts will discuss how Kazakhstan can integrate into the changing global landscape of the mining and metallurgical industry amid increasing competition for access to raw materials. The speakers will touch upon key issues: how global trends in the industry are transforming, including demand for metals, sustainable development and the introduction of AI; how global economic and political challenges affect investment and business in Kazakhstan; and what role domestic industry policy plays in ensuring the competitiveness of domestic companies.
- June 4: development strategies and international cooperation
The program of the first day of the Congress will also include a number of strategic sessions on sustainable development, intra-country value and cross-industry cooperation, production efficiency improvement, digitalization, ESG approaches and human resource management. The best cases of effective management of resources and man-made mineral formations will be considered. A special emphasis will be placed on international cooperation: The participants will discuss Kazakhstan's integration into global supply chains, partnerships with key countries, as well as challenges and opportunities opening up for the national industry in the context of global transformation. A meeting of the geological services of the partner countries will be held, specialized sessions will be held to reveal the potential of partnership between Sweden and Kazakhstan, a presentation of the best practical experience of the mining and metallurgical complex of Canada, and a case study of bilateral cooperation between Great Britain and Kazakhstan will be presented.
- June 5: Industry forums and Congress of Jewelers
The second day will be devoted to specialized industry events. The traditional annual forums of the coal industry and gold miners will be held, where experts will discuss the state of markets, regulatory issues, mining and processing technologies, as well as resilience to climate and economic risks. For the first time, the AMM will host the Congress of Jewelers of Kazakhstan, a new platform for dialogue between manufacturers, distributors and government officials. The AMM Technology section will also host sessions on the use of artificial intelligence in the mining and metallurgical complex, and improving mining efficiency in the mining and metallurgical industries.
Specialized events are planned for specialists in the field of PR, GR and HR, such as a PR lunch and specialized sessions on crisis management, conflict management and interaction with government agencies in the context of addressing social issues in the context of modern challenges for GR.
Representatives of government agencies, mining and metallurgical corporations, industry associations and international organizations will take part in the discussions.
Special attention will be paid to issues of sustainable development, green technologies and industry transformation. So, there will be a session on ESG: Resettlement Rules as part of improving the country’s investment climate.
National Competition “Golden Hephaestus”
On June 4, the best mining and metallurgical industry professionals will receive coveted awards in 15 categories at once. By decree of the Head of state, 2025 has been declared the Year of Working Professions in Kazakhstan, which underlines the key role of qualified specialists in ensuring sustainable economic growth in the country. The competition covers a wide range of nominations: from “Professional of the Year” in the fields of geology, metallurgy and mining to awards for the best social project, achievements in industrial safety and digital innovations. This diversity of categories reflects a comprehensive approach to assessing professional achievements, as well as the importance of innovation and social responsibility in the modern manufacturing sector. The Year of Working Professions and the Golden Hephaestus competition reflect Kazakhstan's commitment to modernization, innovation and human potential development. The Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) is traditionally the general partner of the competition.
